It was caught in the Trent Severn spillway. These fish are not uncommon in Canada. 6 ft. muskies have been caught in commercial nets on the great lakes. My buddy Donnie has caught a 53 inch musky in the Thompson island Moon River area. Euro dudes should put down the glass pipe. The boat is north American and that fish is clearly over 50 pounds! Some of our lakes are deeper than a kilometer. Take a peep at a globe folks. There aren’t any lakes that size in Europe anywhere period. Big water =big fish. 70 pound lake trout can be caught in Great Slve. Four foot pike are very common in northern Sask. You can catch world class Muskie in Lake Of The Woods outside Kenora Ont. and in Georgian Bay. The Bay of Quinte can yield 15 pound Walleye( Pickerel).

I had the same thing happen to me up in Sioux Lookout. We were on Lacsol and I had a nice walleye on and almost at the side of the boat. When it was hit by a very large pike I landed both the pike turned out to be a 42”er nice fish. So I belive the story true.

The photos are real the pike caught is real, however it wasnt caught in canada it was caught in the netherlands it weighed around 44 pounds i belive and was 48 inches…still a great fish by all means lots of people clammed this photo…but u can read about the guy who caught it in the netherlands

The logo on the seat of the boat suggests that it is a Sylvan. Not available in Europe. Obviously it was caught in North America.

All this back-and-forth about where and if and maybe! It doesn’t matter! I took a pike twice as big as this from a drainage ditch near my house in Maine. I had to haul it out with a chain and 4-wheeler. I had the skin made into matching boots, gloves and belt. European smuropean. Canadian smanadian.
