		<description>I believe the bylaw is based off of the tax bracket.  Enforcing a minimum size will guarantee the city a certain level of tax revenue as well as maintain a certain visual appeal.  Unfortunately when I bought the property I was only told of the maximum size.</description>

Check the local tax code, there is probably some break point that you are 225sft short of. It may be a tax bracket or something.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m British, and currently living in Australia, and have never heard of building plans being forcibly stopped because they were too small! That&#039;s outrageous! 

I thought this kind of thing only happened if you wanted to build a monstrosity and the neighbours complained - not the other way around. :roll:</description>
