Best to you in this adventure. I tried to convince my wife that it would be good for me to immerse myself in playing online and at the casinos so I could play poker for a living. She didn't think that was such a good idea.

The last time I was in Vegas I gave a little money to someone else to play, unfortunately it didn't work out but he had a better chance than I did.

Thanks for the support. I hope I do well. I know I can but sometimes things just don't go your way. I'll have to wait and see, but hopefully I'll make a good run.

I suppose as a beginner, you have to learn discipline in being able to take fluctuations in your fortunes. It is good to hear you got out with the amount you did.

Your co-workers see (saw) you exercise good judgment in getting out of with winnings. Keep playing, maybe I can one day see you on the Poker Tour, and say, "I know that dude when he was just tossing in $100. Now he's playing $1,000,000 hands."

I'm not a Poker player at all so I can't come with any piece of advice but I'm looking forward to reading your next "Dead or Alive Poker" post.
Holding my fingers crossed for you dude.

Good luck, Andy.

I can't decide if your co-workers are shrewd investors or the biggest suckers ever! Keep us updated - sounds like quite a neat setup you've got going there. Have you told your parents about this plan? Mine won't let me play online poker past 11:00pm.

Right Now I'm playing on Interpoker.com. I'm trying to find a site that has enough players that I can find a game anytime I want, but not too many like PokerStar.com where every tournament has 1800 players. You are right about playing for free. People just don't take it serious and it ruins the game. Try ScorePoker.com. It's a sports tv station in Canada and winner win prizes rather then money so the 'realness' is still there.

I've never played online for real money, where do you play? Playing for free online isn't much fun because it removes the "realness" of it because you have people betting all the time as they have nothing to lose.
