Neat story. And impressive comment too.

I know what happens in the meat industry and I know for sure if I told you some of the stories, you would never eat sausage again.

That is, without a doubt, the stupidest story I have ever read.

Assuming you seriously believe it (an assumption so insulting to your intelligence and common sense that I hesitate to make it), consider the following:

- Groundhogs live in burrows under the ground. They don't infest factories, pickle or otherwise.
- What groundhog, or other animal, would go swimming in a vat of vinegar?
- What modern company makes pickles in this ridiculous fashion? Have you seen modern food plants or thought about the illogical premise of the wooden vats being loaded by hand?
- A bloated carcass would never be removed by the method you describe by any person with two brain cells to rub together.
- Food manufacturers are subject to frequent inspections, and liable for adherence to industry, local, state and federal standards and laws. Do you really think one of them would get away with something like this even once, never mind on a regular basis?
- How is it possible for this practice to continue without a single, solitary worker ever coming forward with a public complaint? Any media outlet would go nuts with a story like that, as would publicity-eager politicians, competitors in the food industry, etc.
- Have you done ANY research to back this up, or given any thought to the illogical and absurd information you are propagating, or are you just repeating a patently ridiculous tale?

In short, I hope this is some kind of parody or deliberate attempt to wind people up. If you seriously believe this story, you should not be allowed out of the house without a trained keeper.
